A 10 Minute Verse Play

Characters:
Demetrius, a young soldier in the Athenian army
Egeus, an older soldier in the Athenian army

Synopsis:
Written as part of Flux Theatre Ensemble’s The Imagination Compact, The Far Away Daughter of Athens imagines how Egeus came to feel so strongly about Demetrius’ suit towards Hermia. Trapped by Amazons, awaiting certain death, the men remember all that was good about Athens, drawing closer as Demetrius decides whether or not to reveal his love for Egeus’ daughter.
