Reviews from the Dayton Future Festival 2005
“But it was another of the six new works that had just as many people talking, both pro and con. August Schulenberg’s Kidding Jane, an alternately brilliant and disjointed barrage of profanity, wit, hip-hop attitude and racial confrontation, went off like a verbal hand grenade during the Saturday night slot. Some were stimulated. Others were offended. Although deemed not ready for the professional stage, the two-act production marked a change in Futurefest, which has rarely if ever encouraged such edgy and experimental material.”

“The dialogue is excellent; the chemistry between the characters is strong…the concept is strong and gutsy, and an approach to the American race problem that is fresh”
