Corinna Schulenburg: Facilitator

“Without community,
there is no liberation.”

-Audre Lorde

I have over 20 years of experience in facilitating conversations for gender justice, racial justice, strategic planning, and collaborative creation. My facilitation experience began in 1998 with Equalogy, Inc, where I served as an actor, director, and playwright-in-residence, performing plays and facilitating dialogue to end violence against women on college campuses. in 2007, I co-founded Flux Theatre Ensemble, a consent-based, non-hierarchical collective of theatre-makers. Through Flux, I’ve co-created a wide-ranging set of facilitation practices for sharing power and equitable decision-making. As part of that work, I’ve facilitated production and performance for 30 full productions and hundreds of developmental processes.

In 2012, I began supporting Theatre Communications Group’s (TCG) equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives as a facilitator. Since that time, I’ve worked in accountability relationships with BIPOC to facilitate anti-racist learning and actions spaces. Also with TCG, I have presented on and facilitated conversation about strategic planning, research and measurements, audience engagement and community development, governance, and much more.
